FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
NEWARK, NEW JERSEY — The New Jersey Family Planning League (NJFPL or the League), a leading nonprofit dedicated to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights in New Jersey, is proud to announce the appointment of Jenifer Groves, MEd, MBA as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Jenifer has served as Interim CEO for eight months, guiding the organization through a period of strategic growth and impact. Under her leadership, the League has strengthened its programs, expanded partnerships, and continued to champion equitable access to sexual and reproductive health services statewide and beyond.
“We are thrilled to confirm Jenifer Groves as President and CEO. Her vision and commitment to our mission have been evident throughout her tenure as a former Board member of the League and as the interim CEO,” said Kathie Nixon, Chair of the Board of Directors.
Prior to serving as Interim CEO at NJFPL, Jenifer was a sub-recipient of Title X at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania and later joined the Family Planning Council of Philadelphia as the Director of Quality Assurance & Improvement. She helped to create the original Performance Measurement Benchmarks used nationally in the Family Planning arena. She also co-created Penn Medicine’s PEACE (Pregnancy Early Access Center) clinic that provides specialized, office-based care for early pregnancy complications, miscarriage management, and family planning services. She brings not-for-profit, for-profit and hospital-based clinic experience to the League and has extensive experience working with youth, adolescents, survivors of interpersonal violence, those living within the criminal justice system, the LGBTQ community and with myriad organizations working to address the social determinants of health that impact underserved communities.
“I am honored to continue leading the League and to work alongside our dedicated team and partners,” said Jenifer. “Together, we will build on our successes and drive forward our mission to ensure everyone has access to the care and information they need to make their own decisions about their body and their future, regardless of their identity, income or insurance status.”
