What We Do
Through a combination of federal and state funds, the League sustains and strengthens a trusted network of 22 agencies operating 67 health centers across all counties of New Jersey, so care never disappears where it’s needed most.
The League’s network includes federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), Planned Parenthood affiliates, hospital-based providers, an academic health center, community based and non-profit family planning service providers. Together, these provider agencies offer a comprehensive suite of family planning and abortion care services to patients, such as access to a wide range of contraceptive methods, STI testing and treatment, HIV testing, pregnancy testing and counseling, routine gynecological exams, preconception and preventive care, and cervical cancer screenings. The League also provides training and technical assistance to these provider agencies to support the delivery of high quality, equitable, affordable, person-centered, and adolescent-friendly services.
Family Planning
Family Planning is the ability of individuals and couples to decide if, and when, to have children, and to control the spacing and timing of pregnancies.
The League’s Family Planning Network provides a broad range of high-quality, confidential, and client-centered family planning and related sexual and reproductive health services.
Abortion Care
Access to reproductive healthcare, including abortion, is a fundamental pillar of bodily autonomy and personal well-being.
The League’s Expanding Abortion Access Program is committed to providing comprehensive abortion care, so people can make informed decisions about their own body and future.
