Family Planning

Family Planning is the ability of individuals and couples to decide if, and when, to have children, and to control the spacing and timing of pregnancies.

Everyone deserves the ability to decide if, when, and how to start a family. The League’s Family Planning Network of 17 trusted healthcare agencies provide free or low-cost services at 63 locations statewide, so care is always within reach.

Comprehensive Care for Everyone

Family Planning services include a broad range of high-quality, voluntary, confidential, and client-centered family planning and related sexual reproductive health services. These services include:

Contraceptive services, including talking about how birth control may fit with future goals.

Basic fertility & infertility services, counseling on achieving pregnancy, preconception services & pregnancy testing.

Testing & treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV testing.

Related preventive health services such as breast and cervical cancer screening
